Copper

Copper maintains the sheath that wraps around nerves (myelin sheath) and facilitates nerve communication. It plays a vital role in regulating the neurotransmitters.

Copper plays an integral part in maintaining the cardiovascular and skeletal systems as well.  It is part of the antioxidant enzyme Supraoxide Dismutase, and may help protect cells from free radical damage.

Copper is involved in the absorption, storage and metabolism of iron and the formation of red blood cells. It also helps supply oxygen to the body.
