Folic Acid

Folic Acid helps the body make healthy new cells. It is considered brain food. It helps synthesize DNA, RNA, aids rapid cell divisiona and growth, helps in producing healthy blood cells.

Folic acid is especially important for women who may get pregnant. When a woman has enough folic acid in her body before and during pregnancy, it can prevent major birth defects of her baby’s brain or spine.

A body needs folic acid to produce red blood cells and DNA (the body’s genetic material); it is also important for the brain, nervous system and spinal fluid.
